Mission Statement
The Trustees, Administrators, and Faculty of the Arcturus Rudolf Steiner Education Program are dedicated to creating an
unique learning experience for persons eager to engage the concepts of Rudolf Steiner's Worldview; to practice the artistic dimensions arising from it, and to anticipate in a bold way the various applications of it to education, artistic endeavors, agriculture, medicine, or to wherever a person's path might lead.
In this light, we see our primary purpose as the preparation of AWSNA
Certified Teachers for the Waldorf Education Movement in the Chicago area.
To this end, Arcturus engages a process of educating the universally human in all of its participants.
A fundamental premise for honoring the whole human being is the recognition that
we must address conscious development in body, soul and spirit. The aim of the
Arcturus Program is to actively recognize and foster a dynamic of transformative learning taking place in the students
through their encounter with the world conception of Rudolf Steiner, with the
full range of the Arts, with the
faculty, and with each other.
